His-tag
Small tag, no effect on protein. His tag is the first choice for protein purification. We usually use Ni column for affinity purification. Or we can also use magnetic beads for purification.
GST-tag
It can increase the solubility of foreign protein. It can be expressed in different hosts and has a wide range of applications. GST purification system is based on the principle of GST fusion protein and fixed glutathione (GSH) through disulfide bond covalent affinity and GSH exchange elution.
