Plant VLPs Production Service

Virus-like particles (VLPs) have been regarded as a convincing vaccine candidate. It looks similar to the real virus, but it does not carry infectious genomic material. However, they can still trigger a very effective immune response. Plants only need simple inorganic nutrients, water, carbon dioxide and sunlight to grow effectively. With the continuous improvement of the technology platform, Creative BioMart now opens VLP production services based on the plant transient expression system. What we provide is a safe, inexpensive and potentially unlimited way to produce therapeutic drugs quickly and flexibly.

At present, we have successfully produced many VLPs that are composed of one or more proteins with immunogenicity for clients.

Technology Description

Plant VLPs Production Service

pEAQ vectors are a series of plasmids designed for the simple and rapid production of recombinant proteins in plants. Their main feature is the use of cowpea mosaic virus super translation "CPMV-HT" expression system to provide high-yield recombinant protein through high translation efficiency without viral replication.

In general, the VLP will be produced through the following process:

Step Description Timeline
The vector which harbors the gene of interest is transferred into the E.coli for replication 2-4 days
Transform the recombinant vector into A.tumefaciens 2-3 days
Bacterial culture and aggro-infiltration 2-3 days
VLP construction in plants 5-9 days
VLP extraction and purification ——
