We offer basic choices for two types of expression systems.

The gene of interest can be expressed through episomal vectors. This system is less stable than the integrated ones, but it is suitable for rapid protein expression. Additionally, this system is competent for secretory protein expression.

The integrated vector contains some homologous regions of Kluyveromyces lactis, thus the vector can be inserted into the genome by homologous recombination. The expression system has high genetic stability and can be used for large-scale fermentation, but the construction time of the expression system is longer than the episomal system.
