The cell-free protein synthesis system (CFPS) supports reliable expression of membrane proteins and can meet the requirements of natural configuration and function. So far, many members of the membrane protein family have been successfully expressed, such as eukaryotic G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR). Different from E.coli, wheat germ and insect cell-free expression system, mammalian cell-free expression system can provide a biochemical environment closely related to human survival. Proteins synthesized by this system usually have post-translational modifications, such as glycosylation, phosphorylation and lipid modification, in order to achieve their proper conformation and functional activity.

Mammalian Cell Extract Protein Synthesis Service

The core of Creative BioMart's mammalian cell-free protein synthesis system is the cell extracts that contain all the essential material (including the ER-derive vesicles, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases, tRNA, elongation factors, initiation factors, release factors and ribosome). The extracts will be prepared from either rabbit reticulocyte, Hela cell or CHO cell according to the client's requirement.

First, the target fragment will be cloned into the expression vector. The recombinant vector will be added to the cell extract as a template for transcription and translation. After a series of optimization of expression conditions, the target protein can be obtained.
