Protein labeling before separation and analysis has become indispensable methods for proteomic analysis. The main purpose of protein labeling is to monitor biological processes, quantify compounds reliably, detect protein modifications and isomers specifically in multiple samples, enhance detection sensitivity, and simplify detection workflow.
In addition to the recombinant protein expression service based on different host systems, we are also able to provide a high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective protein labeling service. According to your chosen expression system and specific labeling requirements, Creative BioMart's technical team will be dedicated to finding a customized solution for you.
Based on the existing platform, we can implement the following labeling services
Protein isotope labeling is a classical protein tracer and proteomics quantitative technique. It replaces the corresponding amino acids in cell culture medium with essential amino acids labeled by natural isotopes (light) or stable isotopes (heavy ones).
Biotin affinity is at least one million times higher than antigen-antibody binding capacity, which is one of the strongest noncovalent interactions between protein and ligand.
Enzyme markers such as horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and alkaline phospholipase (AP) are suitable for conjugation with proteins and preparation of antibody conjugates for immunoassay.
Combined with fluorescence imaging detection instrument, we can study the target protein expression, cell localization, interaction, activity state and other indicators.
Protein labeling reaction is a reversible chemical reaction, and there is an essential consumption. When there are too few reactants, the success rate of the experiment will be affected; at the same time, the labeling efficiency can not reach 100%.
Sample requirements: the labeled antibody/protein shall be at least 1mg, the purity shall be more than 90%, and the concentration shall not be less than 1mg/ml.
The protein labeling service does not include the purity determination of the labeled products and the detection of the working concentration of the labeled products. If you need further detection of the modified products, please communicate with the technical support personnel.
