Technology Description

Bacillus subtilis expression system

Our technical team modified the traditional sugar induced Bacillus subtilis expression system. We present a system based on manR operon or PmanO operon and induced by D-mannose. D-mannose, a C-2 epimer of glucose, belongs to the hexose series of glucuronide, and widely exists in a variety of biomolecules.

Mannose is not only a specific and effective inducer of the two operons, but also transported by the manP gene of the manR operon, which is recognized as the component of PTS manR specific enzyme IIBCA and mannose transporter. Once the manP gene is deleted, the two operons will be constitutively activated, which lays the mechanical foundation of the protein.
