Tet-Inducible Mammalian Expression System

Tet-Inducible Mammalian Expression System

Tet-Inducible Mammalian Expression System

Tetracycline (Tet)-regulated gene expression is a eukaryotic expression system developed in recent years. It uses tetracycline and its derivatives to induce the expression of interested genes. This induced expression system has the advantages of strict, high efficiency, strong controllability and small expression leakage. It has been widely used in a variety of cell lines, plants, yeast, nematodes and small intestine mouse, rat and human cells. The Tet-inducible mammalian expression system is now available at Creative BioMart.

What can be Achieved at Creative BioMart?

Tetracycline-regulated gene expression system was developed based on the tetracycline-resistant operon of E.coli Tn10. The basic principle is that inducing drugs such as Tet change the conformation of the regulatory protein, so as to control the expression of target protein, which belongs to negative regulation mode.

Tet-Inducible Mammalian Expression System

Various vectors containing tetracycline can be used to regulate gene expression systems. At Creative BioMart, we offer

It is a double plasmid controlled expression system, which is used in most eukaryotic cells

Lentiviral vector system is an efficient vector, which can introduce genes into mammalian cells permanently.

PiggyBac inducible gene expression vector system combines Creative BioMart's efficient piggyBac vector system and Tet on inducible gene expression system to help you realize the permanent integration of tetracycline inducible gene expression cassette based on transfection with host genome.

The expression process can be handled in biosafety level 1 facilities because AAV is inherently replication-deficient, producing little or no inflammation, and causing no known human disease.

Why Select the Ecdysone Inducible Mammalian Expression System

  • The basic expression level is low and the induced expression level is high.
  • The regulation specificity is high, and the host gene is not affected.
  • The inducer has no toxicity. Tetracycline can induce gene expression at a low dose.
  • The system will not cause adverse or opposite effects on mammalian cells and transgenic animals.
  • The regulation is rapid, short cycle and reversible. The gene expression could be detected within 30 minutes after the inducer is added and reopened within 72 hours.
  • The system has a wide range of applications. This system is especially suitable for transgenic research.
  • The system is dose-dependent. The induction intensity of target gene is closely related to the amount of inducer and induction time.
