  • The growth cycle is short. The time scale needed to produce recombinant protein in plant cell culture can be calculated within a few days or weeks after transformation, while it takes several months in transgenic plants.
  • The fusion protein can be expressed and secreted into the culture medium. It can be recovered and purified without a large amount of contaminated protein.

Technology Description

We usually use biological vector Agrobacterium tumefaciens to mediate gene delivery. Plant cells are co-cultured with A.tumefaciens, then spread on a selective medium, and then transformed plant cell are selected.
