Description
Soybean peptone is a light yellow to white powder derived from defatted, enzymatically digested soybeans, followed by filtration, concentration, and spray drying. The powder has a characteristic mild odor and is soluble in water, producing a clear, light-yellow solution. It is hygroscopic and should be stored in a dry environment.
Preparation: Prepare a 2% solution with distilled or deionized water, heating until fully dissolved. The solution will be amber-colored, clear, and free of precipitation, with a pH between 5 and 7.
